Baby Quilts, Table Runners, Coasters & Placemats for sale

Image
Hello Dear Friends, I've just spent another morning at the Kangaroo Valley Makers Markets. This month was slightly better and I must admit I got excited when I made my first 2 sales. Then it stopped! Oh well, I have 10 lovely baby quilts, 3 table runners, coasters and placemat & coaster sets available for purchasing. At the October markets I think I will concentrate on Christmas table runners etc. If I thought my quilts were rubbish I wouldn't even consider selling them, but they are made from quality fabric and thread. I am really happy with this knitted blanket that I made for my grandchild due in November. Can't wait to meet this new sweet baby. I just love making pretty and stylish projects. QP by Rhonda

Custom Quilt Order

Hello my dear friends, Here is one of my latest quilts. This was a special request, a gift for a beautiful lady who was expecting a baby. Wonderful news, little Addie has arrived safe and sound. Krystal loves turquoise and orange. Carly, her sister chose these two beautiful fabrics with an Aboriginal design. QP by Rhonda

Kangaroo Valley Makers Markets

Image
Hello dear friends What a busy month! 12 quilts sewn and I was ready for my first Makers Markets in Kangaroo Valley.  It was a freezing, foggy morning but I bravely set up my stall.   The markets were held at The Hive and it looked a picture, especially when the sun came out. Unfortunately, I didn't sell any quilts but I learnt a few things. Note to self: I need a bigger table and I need some cheaper items, such as table runners.  This is learning as you go, trying out different displays and options. I'm not discouraged as I think my quilts are one of a kind and the quality is good.  I just realised that not everyone wants a baby quilt! Thanks to Alexandra and Ben for letting me use their furniture as props for my advertising. I had a little ray of sunshine on Sunday when my beautiful friend bought a quilt with tiny hearts all over it. Next month is another opportunity and I'm looking forward to it.   QP  by Rhonda           ...

Hello my dear friends Araminta Designs is very slowly becoming a reality and not just a dream. All of the quilts that I advertised in April have sold, (2 were auctioned a The Biggest Morning Tea Cancer Council Fundraiser, at Illaroo Road Public School, one sold for $100 and another for $50). I have also created a number of custom made quilts. This quilt's new home. I'm really excited to tell you that I will have a stand at the Kangaroo Valley Makers Market on Saturday, 30 July 2022. Please come and visit the markets for some handmade goodies.    I only have 10 or 12 quilts to make! I have started collecting fabrics that I want to use. I think my favourite part of the whole process is choosing and buying the fabric. Here are some of the fabrics that I have collected for the market stand. I have ordered professional business cards and a corflute sign for my stand. I am attending the Sydney Craft Show at Homebush this weekend - I can't wait. There are so many workshops and sem...

Pins and Paws Quilt

Image
Hello dear friends,  Happy Mother's Day to all.  "Biology is the least, that makes someone a mother."   Oprah. My latest gifted quilt is to a very special friend, Sally who has blessed my life in many ways. I adore this quilt called Pins & Paws.  You can find this tutorial on the Missouri Star Quilt Co. website.  It was made using a layer cake. The colours are so vibrant and using the black and white background fabric makes it look like the cat is sitting in the window of a darkened room or a lit room. QP by Rhonda
